Our Mission

Create a trusted and connected charitable marketplace based on transparency, connecting donors with causes they care about

Our Value Proposition

At KindKart, we are dedicated to offering our donors the much-needed transparency they desire when it comes to their generous donations. By placing a strong emphasis on the tangible impact these contributions have on the lives of the recipients, we aim to create a profound connection between donor and beneficiary. Through a meticulously crafted, personalized feedback loop, we ensure that our supporters remain engaged and informed about the positive change they are facilitating. This approach, in turn, encourages a sustainable cycle of recurring donations and fosters a deep sense of satisfaction and commitment amongst our compassionate donors.

Our Inspiration

The idea was inspired by Mr. P. S. Gopalakrishnan, my dad. In April 2020 during the first wave of Covid, my father and his neighbors distributed grocery kits to 1200 families over 2 months. My dad was deeply concerned when India went into a lock down in April 2020. Fearing that the daily wage laborers in his neighborhood will suffer from lack of food and money, the two of us collaborated to raise funds in the US. What started as a humble thought to help about 50 families turned out to be a big project bringing relief for ~1200 families.

My dad orchestrated the purchase and distribution of grocery kits (rice, lentils, salt, sugar, cooking oil and spices) with the help of a few neighbors in his apartment. During this time he also discovered a few orphanages and old age homes who were struggling to get help. WIth the help of funds raised, he started buying things of urgent need for these charities. This was the foundation of my inspiration. What if charities did not ask for money but asked for help in kind. What if donors didn't give money to organizations but bought things of need for the charities. And that’s how KindKart was born.
