Anubhuti was founded in 2016 by Deepa Pawar to empower Nomadic and Denotified Tribes (NT-DNT) and other marginalized communities. Coming from the Ghisadi Gadiya Lohar nomadic tribe, Deepa's first hand experiences have provided her with the necessary insights to lead sustainable, impactful work with highly vulnerable populations. Under her grassroots leadership, Anubhuti focuses on capacity-building for community members, especially youth and women, sensitizing relevant stakeholders, and bridging the gap between these communities and their access to resources, knowledge, and opportunities.
