In 2019, when Nagaraj was working as a home nurse at an old age home, he realized that most old age homes were focused only on earning money from the children and guardians of the residents instead of providing quality care. This made Nagaraj realize that there was a need for a free-of-cost old age home for elderly orphans who have no family or support but also need care. This led to the foundation of Nisarga Charitable Trust to take care of such elderly orphans who have no family and who need food, clothing, shelter and medical care.
