Daari Deepa Old Age Home, an arm of Shanthala Charitable Trust, was founded in 2008 by Kavitha Rao and her mother, inspired by a shared vision to provide a loving home for elderly individuals who have no one else to care for them. They started the charity with 30 individuals in a small rented place and have now grown to 60 elderly members aged 60 to 101 years old.
